You've spent a lifetime holding everything together.

What if you no longer have to?

The privilege of a lifetime is becoming who you truly are - Carl Jung

Independent, capable, accomplished, but exhausted.

You're highly capable and responsible. You’ve built a successful life. People know they can rely on you. They know you'll get things done.

Yet life often feels heavier than it should. Beneath that competence is exhaustion and relentless pressure. Perhaps your mind rarely switches off. You struggle to rest without guilt. Saying no feels selfish. Slowing down feels risky. You find it difficult to ask for help, tend to put other people's needs ahead of your own or carry responsibilities that seem invisible to everyone else. You feel unsupported and alone.

These aren't simply personality traits. They're often unconscious survival patterns that once helped you navigate life, but now keep you stuck in cycles of chronic stress, anxiety, perfectionism, hyper vigilance and emotional exhaustion.

Why this happens

Survival Patterns

Long before you became the person everyone depends on - the responsible one, the peacemaker, the emotional support - you may have learned that other people's needs came before your own.

You learned to read the room. To anticipate what might go wrong. To keep the peace. To fix. To please. To achieve. To keep going. And somewhere along the way, being capable and responsible became more than something you did. It became part of who you needed to be.

Many of these adaptations are remarkable. They helped you become independent, resilient and successful. But the patterns that helped you succeed can eventually become the patterns that exhaust you. Today, they may show up as perfectionism, people-pleasing, anxiety, hypervigilance, difficulty setting boundaries, an inability to switch off, or the persistent sense that you are responsible for everyone and everything around you.

What once helped you navigate life may now be limiting your freedom to live it differently. When that happens, working harder isn't the answer. The way forward begins with understanding the unconscious patterns that are still running your life - and discovering that you no longer have to live by the same rules.

What if the way you've learned to survive is no longer

the way you're meant to live?

  • You over-function in almost every area of life.
  • You automatically notice what needs doing before anyone else.
  • You find it easier to give than receive.
  • You struggle to delegate.
  • You feel guilty resting.
  • You anticipate problems before they happen.

Does this sound familiar:

  • You find yourself managing other adults.

  • You take responsibility for other people's feelings.

  • You feel physically uncomfortable saying "no".

  • You feel compelled to explain your decisions.

  • You are often the emotional organiser of your family.

  • You have a never-ending "to do" list

  • You keep going long after you are exhausted.

Imagine if ...

You could say no without guilt.

Rest without feeling lazy.

Trust other people to carry their share.

Stop constantly scanning for what everyone else needs.

Feel calm instead of always "on."

Know that your worth isn't determined by how much you do for others.

Experience relationships where you are supported instead of always supporting everyone else.

Wake up feeling free instead of responsible.

This isn't about becoming someone different.

It's about returning to who you were before survival became your identity.

My mission is to accompany you as you reclaim your freedom and learn to stop carrying what was never yours.

I know this road because I've walked it myself.

Hi, I'm Kara.

For more than 25 years, I built a successful career as a corporate lawyer. I knew how to achieve, perform under pressure and be the person others could rely on.

Eventually, my body refused to keep going. Burnout, anxiety and panic attacks forced me to stop. What I thought was simply work stress led me to look much deeper.

I began to understand that my stress and anxiety weren't personality traits. They were the consequences of a survival pattern I'd been living since childhood - an overdeveloped sense of responsibility, the need to stay in control and the belief that I had to hold everything together. The same patterns that had helped me build a successful life were now costing me my wellbeing.

Today, I help people recognise these patterns in themselves, before they cost them what they cost me.

The Way Forward

01 / Awareness

Uncovering Patterns

We explore the unconscious beliefs and protective strategies that continue to shape your thoughts and daily life.

02 / Integration

Nervous System Safety

Integrating neuroscience-informed nervous system regulation and somatic processing to create a foundation of internal safety and resilience.

03 / FREEDOM

Restoring Balance

Developing authenticity, self-trust, boundaries and the ability to choose rather than simply react to life's demands.

Travel more lightly

I offer one-to-one coaching for people who are tired of living with the pressure of always having to manage, anticipate, achieve or hold everything together. Some arrive because they are burnt out or anxious. Others simply know that the way they have been living is no longer sustainable, and that something deeper needs to change.

My approach integrates Jungian Depth Coaching with neuroscience-informed nervous system regulation, somatic awareness and evidence-based coaching approaches. We work beneath the immediate symptoms to understand the beliefs, emotional patterns and protective strategies that have been shaping your life, often outside your awareness.

As you begin to recognise what is driving you - and develop the internal capacity to respond differently - old patterns no longer have to dictate how you work, relate, make decisions or care for yourself.

Over time, this can mean:

  • feeling calmer without needing life to become less demanding

  • knowing what is yours to take responsibility for - and what isn't

  • setting boundaries without being consumed by guilt

  • allowing yourself to receive support as readily as you give it

  • trusting yourself rather than constantly anticipating what could go wrong

  • having more energy and space for the people, experiences and things that actually matter to you

This work goes beyond recovering from burnout. It's about creating a life that is no longer organised around obligation - and discovering who you are when it doesn't have to be.
